192V UPS battery platform

192V LiFePO4 Battery for UPS Projects

Preliminary 192V high-rate and energy-type LiFePO4 battery directions for compatible UPS projects, selected through the complete DC window, charger, actual load, runtime, topology and BMS requirements.

Preliminary Technical Specification — nominal voltage alone does not confirm UPS compatibility.

Platform applications

Where the 192V direction may be reviewed

  • Three-phase UPS projects using a reviewed 192V DC platform
  • Server-room and critical IT backup
  • Generator-bridging duty where short-time power is required
  • Extended-runtime projects with a lower load-to-energy ratio
  • Lead-acid-to-lithium retrofit evaluation

Module architecture

Module-level values build the UPS-side platform

  • Published high-rate directions include a 192V 25Ah assembly and 64V modules connected into the 192V platform.
  • Published energy-type directions use 48V modules connected into the 192V platform.
  • Module voltage describes the internal architecture; the UPS-side project platform remains 192V.

UPS matching notes

Compatibility review before model selection

  1. Confirm the UPS brand, exact model, topology and complete DC operating window.
  2. Confirm minimum UPS DC voltage and low-battery shutdown threshold.
  3. Use actual critical load in kW and the required backup duty.
  4. Confirm normal and maximum charging voltage and the available charging current.
  5. Confirm center-tap or two-wire full-bus structure.
  6. Confirm BMS protocol, alarm, cut-off and restart behavior.

Nominal voltage alone does not confirm UPS compatibility.

Battery selection must use the actual load in kW and the UPS minimum DC voltage, not only the UPS rated kVA or nominal battery voltage.

A physical CAN or RS485 interface does not by itself confirm UPS protocol compatibility.

Center-tap or two-wire full-bus structure must be confirmed from the actual UPS and battery circuit.

Final charging voltage, charge-current limit, cut-off voltage, protection behavior and communication protocol require project review.

Do not use a fixed 10-, 15- or 30-minute runtime claim without an approved constant-power discharge curve for the exact battery model, current level, end voltage and temperature.
